Scholarship Information

 

Scholarship Guidelines

The following are the guidlines for ALL applicants of the Mattie L. Branch Scholarship Foundation:

 

  1. Student must be 24 years of age or under.
  2. Student must be a citizen of the United States of America.
  3. Student must be a Resident of the State of Illinois.
  4. Student must be Enrolled or Attending a Accredited College/University.
  5. Student must have a G.P.A. of 2.8 or better.
  6. Student must show proof of enrollment and G.P.A.
  7. Student must show proof of financial need.
  8. Student must provide a Letter of Reference, listing proof of Community/Volunteer Service.
  9. Student must submit a complete MLBSF Application.
  10. Student must agree to publication, in the event of Award approval.
  11. Student must be knowledgeable of all requirements associated with receiving MLBSF funds.
  12. Student must report ALL Mattie L. Branch Scholarship donations to Internal Revenue Services (IRS).

    All monetary donations and gifts are welcomed. MLBSF is a 501(c)(3) (Not-for-Profit Organization); therefore, each donation you make to the organization is tax deductible. We encourage Individual, Company or Community Groups to give to this much needed effort. Please consult your Tax Prepaper.
